Give Young People in Barnet a Voice - UK Youth Parliament Elections
Young people in Barnet will have a voice at a national level as nominations open for the borough's representatives to the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP). The UKYP aims to give 11-18 year olds a voice, which will be heard by local and national government, and other agencies who have an interest in the views and needs of young people across the UK. More information is available here.
If you would like to stand in the 2012 elections then please contact Suzy on 020 8359 4373 or by e-mail ukyp@barnet.gov.uk
Barnet's 11-18-year-olds will be able to vote here for two Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) who will represent them at national events such as the UKYP's Annual Sitting. They will also vote for two Deputy MYPs.
Young people will be able to vote for their preferred candidate online between 30 January to 10 February 2012. All 11-18 year olds in the borough will have a vote using a unique voting code, available from their school or organisation.
