Development: Funding & Sustainability
The Funding and Sustainability element of the Development Team can help you in a range of areas from general advice through to more tailored training and support. It includes:
- advice around organisational development to get you to a point where you are ready to make effective fundraising applications
- advice on basic fundraising skills through to issues of sustainability
- advice on diversifying your income to reduce dependency on grants
- 1-1 support including helping you to write fundraising plans and applications/proof reading and critiquing applications
- current developments and timely reminders of funding deadlines, sent out via CommUNITY Barnet, the bi-weekly email newsletter
- Funding News on the website, regularly updated with funding opportunities and news around sustainability and what's happening in the funding world
- fact sheets providing funding information and advice, available on our website and in hard copy on request
- funding seminars with specially invited speakers from grant-making trusts and appropriate experts and support agencies
- training aimed at different levels of knowledge, including Fundraising Strategy, Outcomes, Monitoring & Evaluation, all featuring a range of specially devised fact sheets
- advice and support around building or moving forward your organisations, e.g. by helping plan and/or facilitate Away Days
- further support where necessary from other members of the Development team, e.g. in governance, finance, networks, collaboration and partnerships, premises.
