Santander Social Enterprise Development Awards
Awards: Between £15,000 and £50,000
Fund Theme:
Funding is available to help growing social enterprises in the Greater London region to increase their impact in improving social inclusion, supporting disadvantaged people or creating a greener environment.
Applicants must:
- Be a social enterprise or Community Interest Company
- Have been established and trading for two or more years
- Have aspirations to grow their business
- Depending on the award category they are applying under, have a turnover of less than £100,000; £250,000; or £500,000 per annum
- Be able to submit a copy of their governing document and latest accounts
- Be generating 26% or more of their income from trading activities
- Their business must directly benefit their community in one or more of the following ways:
- Improving social inclusion
- Supporting training, skills & employment
- Creating a greener environment

Trust for London
Grants to help deal with unacceptable levels of poverty, poor neighbourhoods with high levels of deprivation, unemployment, homelessness, poor health and pollution. Trust for London aims to enable and empower Londoners to tackle poverty and inequality, and their root causes.
There is no minimum or maximum size of grant and the amount requested should be the amount needed. However, the average grant under Aims 1 – 4 is likely to be about £54,000 and grants will not normally exceed £100,000. Grants made to small community groups under Aim 5 will not normally exceed £30,000 with an average grant being £16,000.
The Trust's current priorities are:
- To improve employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.
- To promote the inclusion of recent arrivals to the UK.
- To promote social justice.
- To strengthen the skills of the voluntary and community sector.
- To support small community groups.

The Hilton in the Community Foundation
Funding can be requested for up to two years and awards usually don’t exceed £30,000 (per year). Grants can be awarded for medium to long-term projects (ie over one year) or for one-off causes.

Capital Jubilee Fund
Grants Available: Between £250 and £1,000
Fund Theme:
Funding is available for street parties and local projects that bring people together to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in the summer of 2012 (1 May-31 July 2012). Priority will be given to projects helping to bring generations together, particularly projects which support elderly people and/or children and young people to celebrate the Jubilee.
Projects must:
- have secured all of the necessary permissions, permits and insurances;
- take place during the Diamond Jubilee summer (1 May-31 July 2012);
- take place in either Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Islington, Hackney, City, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lambeth, or Wandsworth.

The charity makes grants up to £ 50,000, broadly aimed at charitable work in the following fields:
Youth Opportunities; Vulnerable People; Medical Research; and Hospices.

UK Youth
In partnership with Starbucks, UK Youth has launched Youth Action which is now in its second successful year of supporting young people to improve their communities.
Starbucks Youth Action aims to encourage and inspire a generation of young people to take action and create positive local change. Starbucks has joined up with UK Youth and the Irish Youth Foundation to provide training, support and funding to young people from 10 cities in the UK and Ireland.

The Grand Ideas Fund Sanctuary Housing
This fund offers up to £1,000 to charities, resident groups and voluntary organisations that need some financial support to help deliver activities within their local community or neighbourhood, anything from a healthy eating project, to training opportunities, or materials for a fun day event.
The Grand Ideas Fund is designed to support as wide a variety of projects as possible, however they should fall in line with the priorities of Sanctuary's community investment programme.
These include financial and economic inclusion, youth activities, community facilities, care and support and improving physical and emotional wellbeing.
