Welcome to Our 'On Your Doorstep' Campaign Page

Did you know there are almost 1000 local charities, community groups and organisations in Barnet?

They bring people together to help one another within their neighbourhoods, and provide valuable services and acticities ranging from children's sports and mother-tongue teaching to support for people with disabilities and their carers.

Together we are the local voluntary and community sector. Our groundbreaking work, which enhances the lives of Barnet residents is all too often invisible, so we are looking for fans to spread the word about us!

We know we are going through a challenging time, however we also know that the 800+ voluntary and community organisations that operate in Barnet, are resilient, creative and have risen to many other tests. We strongly believe that in these times of crucial decision making it is important to speak about the groundbreaking work you do every day in your own communities and for real people.

For those of you who were at Barnet’s Big Society Day last November, you will have noticed us, in our 'I love Barnet' t-shirts, busy interviewing you, Councillors and the Mayor. Aiming to capture why organisations like yours are particularly important during challenging times and more importantly showcasing how much 'You Love Barnet' by presenting the impact you are bringing about for Barnet residents and communities.

This campaign is a way for individuals and organisations to raise awareness about the important work we do and show just how much 'We Love Barnet'.

Below are a few CAMPAIGN ACTIONS for you to consider when you have the time:

• If you have a minute please "like" us on Facebook to show you support the campaign. You can also upload a photo to represent your organisation.
• If you have 2 minutes please write to your local newspaper raising awareness about the importance of the work our organisations do.
• If you have more time please take a look at our Advocacy Toolkit.
